How We Secure You
128-bit Encryption
At cakeinabox.co.uk our full checkout process uses 128bit encryption. This is the standard used
by shops and banks, and it means that all important information communicated between you and our webiste is encrypted,
preventing anyone intercepting and reading this information as it travels across the Internet.
Certificate
SSL Certificate
A Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate is provided to cakeinabox.co.uk by Thawte
to verify that we are who we say we are, and that online shopping with us is safe.
Credit/Debit Card Transactions
Sagepay Controlled Transactions
Our card transactions are processed by Sagepay (A division of
Sage (UK) Limited). All card transactions to Sagepay use the same 128bit encryption that we use with you.
Checkout Process
Addtional Information
When you are going through the checkout process look out for https:// in the
address bar instead of the usual http:// - This identifies that you are working over a secure connection. Your
browser should also give you another sign that you are on a secure connection. Internet Explorer for example will show a
locked padlock in the bottom right hand side of the window. Other browsers may show something else so please check
your help or documentation for that browser.
If you have any additional questions then please feel free to contact us by email or by calling and speaking to one of our customer service
advisers. Our team will be happy to answer any questions or queries that you may have.
